About

Kelly Schenk is a composer and vocalist from Portland, OR. Drawing influence from artists like Joni Mitchell, Becca Stevens, and Gretchen Parlato, Kelly’s unique style blends singer-songwriter sensibility with contemporary jazz. Kelly is currently a Presidential Scholar at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where she is grateful for the opportunity to study with renowned faculty and grow as a young artist. The Kelly Schenk Quartet recently received a Downbeat award for their performance of original work.

Kelly Schenk possesses all the qualities that precede the rising of a new star. I’m so pleased to have had the opportunity to witness her talent at this point on her path to global recognition as a great Vocalist/Composer.
— Dr. Dee Daniels; Artistic Director of the DeMiero Jazz Fest (WA), vocalist, educator, composer
What do you get when Joni Mitchell and Keith Jarrett have a child? Kelly Schenk! I have had the pleasure of witnessing this new soul bringing forth a new sound to our world! For those of you who are ready, please take the time to embrace this spirit... The universe will be better because of her music.
